Atomic Habits by James Clear

I'd been putting off getting this book for years as I assumed it was another of those books that were an interesting blog post that got popular, so the author turned it into a book for profit. There's so many of these around now, what was an insightful blog article gets painfully stretched out into a couple of hundred pages, which results in one hundred and fifty pages of filler.

I was totally surprised though, this book is rammed full of useful and actionable info and has changed the way I think about my good and bad habits and also how I approach my work. Reading this book has made me better in a number of ways.

Stuff I've spotted or bought but haven't read yet

  1. Confessions of an English Opium-Eater by Thomas De Quincey
  2. Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave by Frederick Douglass
  3. Goodbye to All That by Robert Graves
  4. Dispatches by Michael Herr
  5. We Wish to Inform You that Tomorrow We Will Be Killed with Our Families By Philip Gourevitch
  6. The Man Who Mistook His Wife For a Hat By Oliver Sacks
